His enthusiasm, regardless of the current situation, never failed to amuse her. She’d never seen anyone else get so excited. It made it hard for her to be upset with him at times. Her mouth opened to answer his question but he jumped at the first opportunity to duck under her desk. Holding up her end of the bargain, she began her own search through the room. She had no idea where he could possibly put it. He never chose the same spot twice - like lightning.
She searched through the bookshelf. Maybe it had been pressed between some old textbooks. It didn’t occur to her that it might be within the laundry basket. She passed by it a few times but didn’t stop to check inside. ❛ Did you put it in another room maybe ? ❜
