a giggle escapes her lips , at the mention of his band ————- uncertain , almost nervous laughter. in her hometown , that would surely fall under the same line of work as comedians , actors , and clowns. an endeavour of folly , sheer foolishness - something every adult must grow out of ! she could even remember the voices of mothers and aunts , huddled together in ‘ grown up talk ’ Sooraya was never allowed to join. “ he’s in a band , ” one would whisper , voices low , the others shaking their heads in disapproval.
how was the culture towards the Arts in the West ? surely better , Sooraya thinks - but she knows little about it. perhaps it’s a question best suited for Logan to answer.
‘ a band ? really — what do you play ? ’
conversation turns towards her and she shuffles , head ducking in a smile.

a low, deep chuckle rumbled up from theodore’s chest. ❛ i switch between lead and rhythm guitar respectively. ❜ he said, forgetting to slow his gait to match his newfound friend’s. the next question gets gears turning in his head.
ted wouldn’t go so far as to say his geographical knowledge is, in any way extensive but it’s most certainly increased very steeply over the last six or seven years. be it the future or the past, seeing history unfold with his own two eyes proved to be a far cry better way to bake the raw facts and figures into his head than someone trying to force seemingly unstimulating information down his throat. time traveling just made learning fun, y’know? he’s traveled to more places in five plus something years than most people have in their entire lives. so, in his mind’s eye or what have ya’, he thought he’s seen it all. boy, was he wrong.
❛ afghana— what? ❜ not gonna lie, hearing about a place he’s never had a chance to explore himself was a pleasant surprise. he’ll have to consult the ‘circuits of time directory’ sometime this week and check it out.
